A Rollicking Road Trip through France: The Route in Four Parts

Sooo, here we go. We are almost ready to start our road trip through France. I wanted to share our very rough itinerary. It was tough – we don’t have that much time, so we had to make choices. Here’s the general route, but we are planning to change things along the way as we see fit.

The Route

Part 1: Chateaux in Amboise and the Loire Valley

Part 2: Tastes of Burgundy in Beaune and Dijon

Part 3: Hill Towns of Luberon and Aix-en-Provence

Part 4: Walled cities of Avignon and Carcassone

And then we’ll end the trip in Bordeaux. I’m so excited.

Dessin Du Jour

What’s that picture at the top? Well, it’s an S original and depicts us on the aforementioned road trip where we are leaving Paris (you can tell that by the Eiffel tower behind us) and driving through vineyards. It’s part of his “dessin du jour” series (which I don’t get them every day, so it’s a flawed name). Nevertheless, this particular ‘dessin’ seemed appropriate.
