A friend recommended that we go to Paris Photo last weekend. It’s an international art fair dedicated to photography held annually at the Grand Palais in Paris. It’s apparently a big deal in the art community, so naturally – we had never heard of it. Luckily, we know people that are way cooler than us.
At some point, as I was roaming through the aisles, taking pictures of things I found interesting, a older French woman came up to me and asked me if I spoke a French. A little. She asked me if could take a picture of me taking a picture. Totally weird, but I obliged. I caught a glimpse of the final product on her camera, and somehow didn’t have the presence of mind to ask her what she was going to do with it. But here’s hoping I show up next year at Paris Photo 2017 as the art.
Here are a few of the pieces we saw.
